Hi,

I recently updated phpBB from 3.0.5 to 3.0.6 using Fantastico with my hosting provider.

To my surprise it removed all attachments, avatars and the default style that was configured (and possibly other bits that I don't know about yet!).  When I realised this had happened it was easy enough to extract the Fantastico backup and reinstate the missing files, although it was a bit embarrassing for the users of the forum to have to put up with this.

Is that expected behaviour?  If so, why is there no warning when you perform the update?  Do you recommend using phpBB's built-in updates instead after the initial installation?

I can't see the versions of cPanel or Fantastico we are using, please let me know if there's a tricky way to find that out.

No. Please open a ticket (https://netenberg.com/support/).

If this were the case, Fantastico would be redudant. Smiley
